Red Roses

This Color Splash photo features two of my neighbor's award winning "Dolly Parton" roses. I don't know why they're called that, but hey, who am I to argue? :) I love flowers...but can't manage to keep them alive. So I relish in the beauty around me by some of my neighbors who have some gorgeous garden eye-candy.

Wild Daisies

I almost bypassed this little sprig of wild Daisies on a recent photo session. As I panned the area with the lens, I found myself searching for birds, squirrels, and for big and bold flowers like I normally photograph. Suddenly, a tiny burst of yellow from the center of one of these small daisies caught my attention. Using my color splash technique on the resulting photo focuses on the yellow centers, which ultimately caused me to stop and snap the shutter. And thus, "Wild Daisies" was born.
